Viavi Bid to Block LG Gesture-Recognition Devices Gets ITC Probe

The U.S. International Trade Commission said it will investigate a patent-infringement complaint Viavi Solutions filed against LG Electronics over certain mobile phones and tablets featuring facial- and gesture-recognition technology.

  • Viavi, a leader in three-dimensional motion-sensing technology, seeks an import ban on the LG G8 ThinQ mobile phone, which it claims infringes three patents
