Verizon Suit Says Traxcell Is Playing Hide-the-Ball With Patents

Verizon Wireless asked a Texas federal judge to shut down an asset-transfer game it claims Traxcell Technologies LLC is playing to dodge paying it more than $500,000 in legal fees awarded over attorney misconduct in a long-running patent dispute.

Cellco Partnership, which does business as Verizon Wireless, accused Traxcell and co-defendant Traxcell Technologies II LLC, an eponymous shell company, of fraudulently transferring patents a judge had ordered liquidated to pay the fee award, according to a complaint filed March 28 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
