Verizon and two of its units infringed US Patent Nos. 9,215,613 and 8,589,541, according to a jury verdict filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Headwater didn’t prove that the infringement was willful, the jury found.
Rich Young, Verizon’s associate vice president of corporate communications, said in an email the company respects the jury system, but strongly disagrees with the verdict.
