Valve Wants Rothschild ‘Retaliatory Lawsuit’ in Texas Thrown Out

Valve Corp. told a Texas federal judge that prolific inventor Leigh M. Rothschild used his affiliated non-practicing entities to file “retaliatory” lawsuits because the video game developer alleged he violated a Washington state law prohibiting patent troll tactics.

Three Rothschild affiliated entities, including Symbology Innovations LLC, filed patent infringement allegations against Valve in Texas federal court in the span of three days in September, according to a motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
