USITC Starts Section 337 Probe of Some Oura Health Wearables

The US International Trade Commission voted to start a Section 337 investigation into certain wearable devices, naming Oura Health and Ouraring as respondents in the probe.

  • Investigation based on a complaint filed on behalf of Samsung on Dec. 15
  • Complaint alleges violations including the importation into the US and sale of certain wearable devices that infringe certain claims of the patents asserted by the complainants
    • Complaints requests USITC issue limited exclusion, cease and desist orders
  • USITC to set target date for completion of probe within 45 days
