US Open Banned from Using Net Sensors Infringing Rival’s Patent

A New York federal judge permanently blocked GTE BmbH from selling net-monitoring technology used by the United States Tennis Association, belatedly granting a request from technology company Group One Ltd. after the 2022 US Open—where the technology was used to call serves that clip the net—wrapped up.

Judge Margo K.
