US Customs Denies Import Collusion With Apple Over Watch Ban

Emails between Apple Inc. and US Customs and Border Protection over the tech giant’s plans to resume watch imports weren’t evidence of collusion to evade an import ban, the agency told a federal court.

CBP argued that emails Masimo Corp. cited as evidence of the agency’s improper coordination with Apple only addressed a single shipment, not efforts to help the tech giant evade trade restrictions, according to the filing Monday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
