US Air Force Tests Artificial Intelligence for Targeting Help

The US Air Force’s Middle East-based command is using commercial technology to incorporate artificial intelligence for targeting in combat, Lt. Gen Alex Grynkewich said at a Defense One virtual event Wednesday.

Air Force Central Command, CENTCOM, is deploying kill chain tools which are used for attacking adversaries. The tools allow the the branch to “bring disparate streams of intelligence together rapidly,” push information to decision makers, and “gain a superior pace and a superior scale of targeting compared to anything we’ve done in recent memory.”
