Nevada-based sports trading card maker Upper Deck Co. asked the US Patent and Trademark Office to reject Topps Co.'s application to trademark the word “Flashbacks,” citing its own use of the term.
Upper Deck on Monday filed an opposition to Topps’ October 2021 application to register “Flashbacks” for collectible trading cards and posters. Upper Deck said that it has used the term since at least 1996 and still uses it in connection with its trading cards.
