University of Rhode Island Told to Stop Synopsys Software Use

Synopsys Inc. secured a federal court order for the University of Rhode Island to stop using its software during litigation of its lawsuit alleging use of counterfeit access keys.

The provider of electronic circuit design tools established a likelihood of winning its case against the New England university, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said.

Synopsis would be harmed without an injunction, which would only require URI to obey state and federal law, the court added.
