Universal Instruments’ Use of Contractor’s Source Code Allowed

A company’s use of a contractor’s source code didn’t infringe the contractor’s copyrights under the terms of the parties’ license agreement, the Second Circuit said May 8.

The use of the source code was an “internal” use covered by the terms of the agreement, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said.
