Renee Meisel was appointed chief executive officer of UnitedLex, a data and professional services company specializing in litigation, intellectual property, contracts, compliance, and legal operations, the company announced Thursday.
Meisel was previously general counsel at UnitedLex, where she led global legal functions including commercial transactions, dispute resolution, compliance and privacy, and risk management, the company said. She has also held leadership roles at law firms, services providers, and in-house legal teams, most recently founding PracticLaw, a consulting and law firm focused on in-house legal operations solutions.
She replaces former CEO James Schellhase.
