Ultrahuman Heathcare Pvt. Ltd. allegedly created an “imitation” Oura Ring smart ring by hiring its competitor’s employees and infringing patents and copyrights, Oura Health Oy said in a lawsuit.
The Ultrahuman Ring tracks a user’s health, such as skin temperature and sleep habits, through multiple sensors inside a smart ring. Ultrahuman Healthcare allegedly infringed Oura Health’s patents and copyrights by creating a ring and user interface that have similar designs and functions as the Oura Ring and app, according to a complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
