Ugg Maker Targets CVS, Walmart in Latest Boot Infringement Suits

The maker of Ugg boots, which recently scored a trademark win over a small Australian rival, is now suing WalMart Stores Inc. and CVS Pharmacy Inc., among others, for allegedly stealing its intellectual property.

Deckers Outdoor Corp. said Wal-Mart, Aeropostale Inc., and RFA Group NYC LLC infringed its Bailey Button Boot trade dress and design patents, while CVS infringed the trade dress of its Yoga Sling sandals. RFA Group’s boots also infringed Deckers’ Bailey Bow design, according to the complaint.
