Uber Seeks Enovsys Location-Tracking Patent Suit Pause for PTAB

Uber Technologies Inc. asked a California federal judge to stay proceedings in Enovsys LLC’s infringement suit pending the outcome of three patent reviews before an administrative tribunal.

Uber petitioned the Patent Trial and Appeals Board earlier this month challenging the validity of US Patent Nos. 6,441,752; 6,756,918 and 7,199,726, according to a motion to stay filed May 17 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The rideshare company argued its inter partes review petitions target all asserted claims of each patent.
