The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has stopped engagement with officials from Rospatent, Russia’s agency in charge of intellectual property, following the military invasion of Ukraine, the USPTO said.
The patent office also said it has cut ties with officials from the Eurasian Patent Organization, which grants Eurasian patents and is based in Moscow.
“Like so many, we are deeply saddened by the events unfolding in Ukraine,” the office said in a statement. “We hope for the restoration of peace and human dignity.”
