The U.S. Copyright Office and its parent agency, the Library of Congress, will be closed to the public until April 1 to reduce new coronavirus transmission risk, the Library announced.
The agencies will continue to operate, and employees, contractors and congressional staff will still have access after restrictions begin at 5 p.m. Thursday. All Library-sponsored public programs will be postponed or canceled, the Library said in a statement.
The Library is monitoring information about Covid-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health departments and will respond as conditions change, it said in the statement.
