U.S. Chamber Urges Sixth Cir. to Undo Ohio Resident PFAS Class

The Sixth Circuit should decertify a multimillion-person class of Ohio residents with PFAS in their blood, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other business and law groups who say the case “blows right past” the “line between litigation and regulation.”

Plaintiffs led by Ohio firefighter Kevin Hardwick want 3M Co., the Chemours Co., and others to fund a panel that will study health risks associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS.
