Twitter’s Losing Agency Challenge to Video Stream Patents Upheld

Twitter Inc. failed to convince the Federal Circuit that a patent office tribunal made mistakes when it upheld two video streaming patents the social media company is accused of infringing.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board found Twitter failed to prove numerous claims in VidStream LLC’s patents are invalid because they were made obvious by an earlier journal article. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said the board’s decisions weren’t contrary to the law.
