Twitter Likely to Beat DMCA Subpoena Revealing Anonymous User

Twitter Inc. will likely fend off a Digital Millennium Copyright Act subpoena seeking to reveal the identity of an anonymous user who allegedly used copyrighted photos to criticize a billionaire investment firm co-founder, a judge said in California federal court.

Judge Vince Chhabria also considered investigating the subpoena petitioner, a “mysterious” entity called Bayside Advisory LLC, for abusing the judicial process at the Thursday hearing in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
