Twitch Sued Again by CP Studios While Earlier Patent Case Pends

Amazon.com Inc.'s Twitch unit was hit with a defensive refiling by CP Studios LLC alleging its platform infringes four interactive live-streaming patents.

Twitch Interactive Inc.'s live streaming and entertainment platform—including Twitch.tv, the Twitch mobile app, Twitch Studio, Twitch Bits, Twitch Turbo, and associated Twitch servers and subscriptions—allegedly infringes US Patent Nos. 9,604,132, 9,889,373, 10,632,388, and 11,731,054. CP Studios filed its complaint Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, the same day Twitch pushed to dismiss an earlier case over a corporate standing defect.
