President Donald Trump failed to escape a copyright infringement claim against him over his election campaign’s use of Isaac Hayes’ song “Hold On, I’m Coming” at rallies.

Hayes’ heirs plausibly alleged ownership over the rights to the late musician’s 1966 soul classic, according to an opinion filed by Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. April 25 in the US District Court for the District of Georgia. Thrash granted Trump’s bid to dismiss allegations of trademark infringement and violation of Georgia’s right of publicity statute.
