Trump Jr. Invests in Notorious Patent Executive’s Latest Venture

Donald J. Trump Jr. has a stake in a new patent-litigation-focused business launched by seasoned monetization executive Erich Spangenberg, according to a Thursday filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dallas-based Spangenberg has been called a “patent troll” by his critics, based on his work in the 2000s and 2010s when he helped pioneer the practice of buying up patents and making them profitable through aggressive litigation strategies.
