President Donald Trump and his campaign failed to escape a copyright lawsuit from musician Isaac Hayes’ heirs alleging infringement of the hit song “Hold On, I’m Coming” by using it as outro music at campaign rallies without permission.
Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. on Wednesday denied Trump’s motion to dismiss after hearing oral argument on that and other motions, according to a minute entry docketed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The court also denied part of conservative group Turning Point Action Inc.'s motion to dismiss and deferred ruling on its personal jurisdiction argument.
