Toyota Motor North America allegedly infringes Driving Innovation LLC’s navigation and voice recognition patents without a license in its automotive navigation and multimedia systems.
The Delaware company says Toyota infringed four patents, Nos. 7,454,545, 7,822,613, 7,890,255, and 8,467,962, which were invented by automotive company Mitsubishi and are exclusively owned by Driving Innovation.
The complaint, filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, focuses on Toyota’s navigation computers and associated software and hardware modules, User Profile System, onboard Audio-Visual System, “Entune Navigation System,” and “Toyota Audio Multimedia” system.
