Toyota Face Recognition, Audio Tech Infringe Patents, Suit Says

Dozens of Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles infringe 11 patents used in technology that allows wireless data sharing, including some involving communications with Apple Inc. and Android mobile devices, according to a new federal lawsuit.

AutoConnect Holdings LLC accused Toyota of infringement and failure to substantially engage in licensing discussions after alerting the Japanese manufacturer of its alleged misuse in a Thursday lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
