Toms Shoes LLC accused an online retailer of infringing its trademarks by selling the brand’s shoes without permission on Amazon, according to a new federal lawsuit.
Bloom Trading Inc. and its CEO Arsanious Youssef sell “dirty, poor-quality, potentially counterfeit, and otherwise non-genuine” Toms products, hurting Toms consumers and damaging its reputation, according to a complaintfiled Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Bloom Trading doesn’t comply with Toms’s quality controls it requires of authorized sellers, thereby selling its products without “the Toms guarantee,” the shoe brand said.
