Toms Resolves Dispute With Artist Over Whale Shark Shoes

A wildlife artist who sued Toms Shoes LLC for allegedly lifting her drawing of a whale shark to use on its shoes has dropped her copyright case against the company, according to a filing in Atlanta federal court.

One of Jennifer Richards’ attorneys told Bloomberg Law that she and the company—known for its in-kind contributions of shoes to those in need—reached an amicable resolution but that further details were confidential.
