TikTok Fights AlmondNet Over Venue for Ad-Tech Patent Dispute

TikTok Inc. asked a California judge to declare it doesn’t infringe three patents AlmondNet Inc. asserted in a Delaware suit targeting TikTok Ads Manager, accusing the patent owner of gamesmanship.

AlmondNet wrongly sued the ByteDance Ltd. unit in Delaware over ad-targeting tools and served the wrong company, TikTok said in its declaratory judgment complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of California and a brief supporting its bid to dismiss or transfer the District of Delaware case, both filed Tuesday.
