TikTok Inc. has been accused in a lawsuit of infringing several digital photography patents.
Pixmarx IP LLC alleged that the popular video-sharing app, which has more than 1 billion users worldwide, encouraged users to act in a way that infringed its patents, according to the lawsuit filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Dallas-based Pixmarx owns several patents each titled “Embedding Digital Content Within a Digital Photograph During Capture of the Digital Photograph,” according to the complaint.
