Thomson Reuters Sues Ross Intel for Infringing Westlaw Copyright

Thomson Reuters Enterprise Centre GmbH and Thomson Reuters subsidiary West Publishing Corp. sued legal research competitor Ross Intelligence Inc. on Wednesday for infringing copyright by reproducing and creating work based on Thomson Reuters’ content.

ROSS used a then-Westlaw licensee to access and copy Westlaw to create a competing product, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
