Thom Browne Inc. asked a New York federal court to strip Adidas America Inc. of its “three-quadrilaterals” trademark.
In an answer and counterclaim filed Thursday, Thom Browne, a designer fashion brand, also said Adidas’ lawsuit against the company should be dismissed and Thom Browne be reimbursed for all costs incurred.
Adidas sued Thom Browne Inc. in June 2021 for its use of use of two-, three-, and four-stripe designs on its athletic apparel and footwear. Adidas said in their complaint that the designs are “confusingly similar iterations” of the Adidas mark.
