Epic Games Sues Player for Cheating in Fortnite Tournaments

Epic Games Inc., creator of the popular video game Fortnite, sued a player for allegedly using cheat software to gain an unfair advantage in competitive tournaments and win thousands of dollars in prize money.

The company accused Sebastian Araujo of Lomita, Calif. of circumventing Epic’s anti-cheat technology and breaching his contract by using unauthorized programs that allow cheaters to see opponents through walls. Araujo continued cheating even after being banned for creating new accounts under fake names, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court of the Central District of California
