A Texas law firm’s attorneys are seeking a California federal judge’s forgiveness while trying to evade sanctions after being accused of ethics violations when handling their client’s patent infringement lawsuit against Renesas Electronics America Inc.

Ramey LLP’s attorneys apologized in a filing Thursday to Magistrate Judge Peter Kang of the US District Court for the Northern District of California for making errors in their client Koji IP’s case while lead attorney Susan Kalra dealt with personal issues.
