Texas Judge Pauses 7-Patent Suit Against Samsung for PTO Review

An East Texas federal judge paused a patent suit against Samsung Electronics Co. due to the seven patents in the case undergoing a validity check at the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Patent owner Competitive Access Systems Inc. has accused Samsung as well as Apple Inc., Oracle Corp., Red Hat Inc., and Motorola Mobility LLC of infringing its patents in suits filed between 2022 and late 2025.
