Texas Internet Provider Denied New Trial in Music Piracy Case

Internet service provider Grande Communications Networks LLC was denied a new trial and legal judgment over a $47 million jury verdict finding that it contributed to the piracy of 1,403 songs.

US District Judge David Ezra in a Thursday opinion was unconvinced that the Texas jury trial last year had any clear legal or factual errors that warranted a new trial for Grande.
