Tesla Convinces Board to Review Four Power-Consumption Patents

An administrative board will review the validity of all 16 claims from a patent asserted against Tesla Inc., handing a victory to the electric-car maker.

Of the five vehicle-efficiency patents iQar Inc. accused Tesla of infringing in a federal suit filed in June 2023 in Austin, Texas, four are now subject to validity checks at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, after an institution decision released Thursday.
