Teradyne Owes Northwestern $6.6 Million at Robot-Tech Trial (2)

Teradyne Inc.'s Universal Robots unit must pay Northwestern University $6.6 million after a federal jury in Delaware found its industrial robots infringe three patents for intelligent assist systems.

Universal’s collaborative robots infringe US Patent Nos. 6,928,336, 7,120,508, and 6,907,317, according to the verdict issued Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Jurors also upheld the patents’ validity.
