Tenda Hit With Patent Suit by Research Firm Over Wi-Fi Products

A Korean research and development firm filed patent infringement allegations against Shenzhen Tenda Technology Co. for the creation and sale of Wi-Fi routers, extenders, access points, adapters, and mesh systems.

Tenda’s products infringed five patents protecting methods for wireless networking technology, according to Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute’s compliant filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. ETRI said it began sending Tenda notices concerning the infringement of concerns in September but didn’t receive a response until it sought to remove Tenda’s products in January from Amazon and Walmart.
