Teladoc Sues Avail Startup for Telemedicine Console Royalties

Teladoc claims Avail’s line of telemedicine consoles, which allow surgeons to video-conference with colleagues, infringes three patents related to the operation of tele-robotic systems.

• Teladoc is seeking cash compensation of at least a reasonable royalty and a court order blocking further unauthorized use of the inventions, according to a complaint filed Friday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware
