TCL, Sharp Sued in Pair of Patent Cases Over Wireless Security

TCL Electronics Holdings Ltd. and Sharp Corporation allegedly infringed a patent owner’s wireless security technology by creating various smartphones, televisions, and other products, according to complaints in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Devices including TCL Tab Pro tablet line and Sharp’s Rouvo V smartphone, use technology to provide secure authentication between wireless communication network nodes, according to similar but separate lawsuits filed March 29. Encryptawave Technologies LLC said the electronics companies infringed US Patent No. 7,233,664.
