Target’s Exercise Discs Infringe Patents, Trademarks, Suit Says

Target Corp.‘s Gliding Core Discs for floor exercise allegedly infringe patents and trademarks covering Savvier Fitness LLC’s “Gliding” fitness discs, according to a complaint filed in federal court in Los Angeles.

Savvier owns U.S. Patent Nos. 8,382,645 and 9,011,294 covering its discs, which can be placed under a user’s hands or feet and slide over a floor for exercising. Savvier’s website says the discs can be used in yoga, Pilates, and other core-focused exercises.

Target’s website says its Gliding Core Discs can be used to perform core exercises like lunges and push-ups more comfortably. Savvier’s complaint in the U.S. ...
