Target of 3M Trademark Complaint Calls Suit a Distraction (2)

One of the companies targeted by 3M Co.‘s campaign against alleged N95 respirator mask price-gouging called the complaint against it an attempt to distract the media from 3M’s own issues.

3M may be trying to “take the heat off” for “the debacle of selling U.S.-manufactured respirators to Canada and Latin America rather than to the United States” during the Covid-19 crisis, Geftico LLC told a Florida federal court Friday.

In many cases, those sued by 3M haven’t responded at all, and 3M has been counting on that, according to Chris Buccafusco, director of Cardozo Law’s Intellectual Property & Information ...
