Target Ripped-Off ‘Color Switch’ Makeup Trademarks, Suit Says

Target Corp. produced a copycat product that infringed trademarks of an entrepreneur’s “Color Switch” dry makeup brush cleaner that she’d pitched the retail giant, a California federal lawsuit said.

Target indicated interest but later declined to carry the first dry brush cleaner that Vera Mona LLC began selling in 2015, the makeup company said on Nov. 15 in a complaint to the US District Court for the Central District of California. Vera Mona said Target later sold a nearly identical product bearing its registered trademark in trade dress-infringing packaging.
