Tarantino, Miramax Settle ‘Pulp Fiction’ NFT Copyright Lawsuit

Quentin Tarantino and Miramax LLC settled a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit that challenged whether the director could sell nonfungible tokens depicting the screenplay for his award winning film “Pulp Fiction.”

Notice of the settlement was filed Thursday to the US District Court for the Central District of California. Details of the pact weren’t immediately available, and litigation dismissal papers are expected to be filed within two weeks.

Miramax’s lawsuit was among the first to apply intellectual property claims to NFTs, digital assets that are bought and sold with blockchain technology.
