Talaria Owes $13 Million Over Infringed E-Motorbike Patent

Tanli Power Technology Co. and Talaria Power Tech Co., owe competitor Chongqing Qiulong Technology Corp. $13 million for infringing the design patents of its electric motorcycles.

Judge Robert Pitman ruled Monday that Tanli and Talaria—collectively called “Talaria” by the court—owes $12.96 million after a January bench trial on damages because the “article of manufacture is the entire infringing motorcycle.” Talaria willfully infringed US Patent No. D854,456, according to a jury’s verdict filed in January in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
