T-Mobile Owes $2 Million for Infringing Base Station Patent (1)

T-Mobile USA Inc. owes Diangean Technologies Ltd. $2 million for infringing a patent with the 5G base stations used in the wireless carrier’s cellular network.

T-Mobile infringed US Patent No. 8,576,803 by using Ericsson Inc. base stations ,according to a jury verdict filed July 11 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The jury determined the wireless carrier’s use of Nokia of America Corp. base stations, however, didn’t infringe the patent.
