Sysmex, Danaher Patent Trial on Blood-Sample Analyzers Postponed

A jury trial that had been set to begin June 27 on Sysmex Corp.'s patent-infringement allegations over blood-sample analyzers sold by Danaher Corp.’s Beckman Coulter Inc. was postponed “due to illness,” a federal judge in Delaware ordered from the bench.

A new trial date hasn’t been scheduled, according to Judge Joseph F. Bataillon’s oral order, posted Thursday to the US District Court for the District of Delaware’s electronic docket. The order provides no further details about the delay.

Jury selection had been slated for Friday in Wilmington, Del. Sysmex seeks royalties from Beckman for its sale of allegedly infringing analyzers. ...
