Swarm, Juniper Internet of Things Patent Case Stays in California

Swarm Technology LLC’s legal fight with Juniper Networks Inc. over patents related to Internet of Things networks will remain in Northern California, after a federal court there found it could exercise personal jurisdiction over Swarm.

Juniper filed a lawsuit in May 2020 seeking a court order that it doesn’t infringe three Swarm patents. Arizona-based Swarm argued the case should be dismissed because it would violate due process for the court to exercise personal jurisdiction over it.
