Mycronic AB’s Surfx Technologies LLC filed a federal lawsuit accusing Ontos Equipment Systems Inc.'s atmospheric plasma systems of infringing patents for surface-treatment technology used in high-tech manufacturing.
Ontos and SET North America LLC’s OntosIS atmospheric plasma system, Ontos Clean, and products sold with an OntosIS system—including the FC300 Flip-Chip Bonder—allegedly infringe US Patent Nos. 9,406,485, 10,032,609, 10,800,092, and 11,518,082, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
Surfx seeks damages of at least a reasonable royalty and lost profits, and an order blocking further infringement.
